Now renamed Rouviere Rosé this used to be marketed as Wild Boar Rosé here. The name has changed, but the wine is just as wonderful as always. It's a very popular style - A.O.C. Coteaux Varois en Provence. A previous vintage was the outright winner of "Best in Show" at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards, very much confirming our confidence in this wine! A lovely wine from inland Provence it is proving increasingly popular in the U.K. The vineyard is owned by the Murray family who have seriously invested in this estate. The Rouviére Rosé is lovely and light, not too expensive, yet very, very, good. Chateau Routas is quite sizeable and is operated by an energetic and enthusiastic team. Pleasant, light berry fruit aromas. You may also detect a little of what seems like fresh mint. Nice and dry with a crisp finish. Versatile with food, especially grilled white meats and seafood.
