A lovely Rosé Champagne from one of the few independent Champagne houses which is still family owned and managed. One of the largest vineyards in the region and well established. The Rosé is given its vibrant colour from the addition of 15% still red wine from the best Pinot Noirs to a blend which comprises at least 30% Chardonnay. A lively wine with fine bubbles and a persistent mousse. The high proportion of Chardonnay gives this Champagne its famed elegance, delicacy and finesse.
A bright pink, the nose is very expressive, both fresh and young, giving off aromas of fresh crushed red fruits. On the palate it strikes a fine balance of velvety and full bodied. Again the flavours are reminiscent of fresh, crisp red fruits with a pleasing acidity. It is well suited to both early on and at the end of an evening. Deliciously fragranced for an aperitif, it is also a subtle accompaniment to fruit deserts, including fruit tart, fruit salad and red fruit crumble.
